Dutch Language Cafe

14 September 2026 | 19:00-21:00 | Looking for a fun and low-key way to practice your Dutch? Join us for an evening at TU Delft filled with small-scale activities, games, videos, reading, and plenty of opportunities to chat and connect with others. Whether you’re just starting to learn Dutch or already feel quite comfortable speaking it, everyone is welcome. Come practice, meet new people, and enjoy a gezellig evening together!

Have you been struggling to find the right place and people to practice your Dutch? We've got you covered! X offers a monthly Dutch Language Cafe. The focus of the Dutch Language Cafe is to learn from each other in a relaxed, interactive and fun way. This edition will focus on: games, reading, watching videos, etc.

During this monthly language café, you will work on your Dutch through interactive activities with other international and Dutch students, such as memory, boardgames, social bingo, fun quizzes or creative exercises. 

For Dutch speakers
Tandem Delft has been organising Language Cafés for many years, in which we help international students learn Dutch. With these monthly Language Cafés, we try to make learning accessible and, above all, fun. Do you enjoy helping your fellow students with this, or would you like to learn some new things yourself? Then come to this language café!

Tandem Delft
Tandem Delft is a committee with volunteers from AEGEE-Delft, brought together by a shared interest in language and culture. In the past, we have organised Language Cafes to help familiarise international students with the Dutch language. Furthermore, we organise a yearly language festival with multiple activities, such as a sign language workshop and cooking recipes in an unknown language. The focus of the Language Cafe is to learn from each other in a relaxed manner, to make learning fun.

What to expect:

• Practice Dutch without pressure – learn by chatting, playing games, and helping each other
• Mixed crowd – meet international and Dutch students (everyone’s welcome!)
• Chill & social – relaxed atmosphere, zero stress, maximum fun
