Open Studio: Jewellery Design

Marilyn Monroe once said: ‘Diamonds are a girl’s best friend’. But it is not just diamonds that we desire for centuries. Jewellery in general has always been captivating. We decorate ourselves with necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets.

The Open Studio: Jewellery Design is open to anyone with an X subscription who has completed a Jewellery Design course, at any time when an assistant is present. All you need to do is register beforehand. The assistant is there to help when needed, to give tips and advice and to ensure that all materials and equipment are used responsibly and safely.

During the Open Studio: Jewellery Design you are welcome to use the torch burners, polishing machine, acid bath and hand tools. Copper, silver, brass, Ossa Sepia, wax, saw blades, sandpaper, solder and drill bits are available for purchase.

The Open Studio is coordinated by assistants. Our assistants are volunteers. The Open Studio is only available when there are sufficient assistants. Therefore sometimes some of the studio’s will not be available during a weekend. Please have a look at the availability of other studio’s or sign up for our MAKE studio in which you can do DIY projects.
