Unplugged Craft Sessions
In today’s fast-paced, digital world, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to carve out time for yourself. Surrounded by screens, deadlines, and a constant stream of information, it’s essential to take a step back, shift your focus, and make space for creativity. Unplugged Craft Sessions offer exactly that: a moment of calm where you can step away from the chaos, your phone, express your creativity, and discover new crafts.
Ticketuur - All levels
Every few weeks, a new craft takes centre stage in the Unplugged Craft Sessions, allowing you to explore a wide range of techniques and art forms. Over the course of two weeks, you’ll be guided by a specialist instructor. Each craft will be introduced by a different teacher, ensuring fresh perspectives and expertise throughout.
The crafts on the schedule include punch needling, watercolour painting, portrait drawing, mixed media art, photography, and urban sketching.
No prior experience is needed. These sessions are designed to help you focus on the process rather than the outcome. All materials are provided, so you can simply turn up, relax, and enjoy the creative journey.
This program is supported by the Student Development department initiative ‘Less Phone. More Fun.’ More program can be found on their website.
Calligraphy by Yasmine Maasakker
Calligraphy slows you down; it is a sensory and, according to some, ritualistic art form. It offers a high degree of expression and can create an emotional connection with others. It can form the basis or an addition to many other art forms.
